Walalaland

Content: Short Documentary (6:12)

Role: Director, Producer

Camille Walala is a French graphic artist based in London, well known for her gigantic murals inspired by the colorful Memphis group from the 1980's.

Comissioned by Wanted Design, Camille came to New York to realize her biggest project so far: a 130-foot (40-meter) high mural over the face of a seven story building in the Brooklyn's post-industrial complex Industry City.

This six-minute film follows her in the making of this project, documenting, for the first time, her inspiration, her influences, her process, her personality and her ultimate ambition: achieving the Walalaland, a city where all the buildings would be bright and colorful.
