Twenty years after "Independence Day", 20th Century Fox released its sequel with the challenge to appeal to both the old and the new generations.

Instead of just advertising the new movie, this 90-second infomercial, happening "in the film world", bridges the gap between the two films and promotes a never-seen-before kind of entertainment...

The video was released on Vice's tech and sci-fi vertical, Motherboard, and on Fox's social media channels, generating more than 2.5 million views and receiving coverage from Entertainment Weekly and The Hollywood Reporter.
